Fair Housing Center of Southeast and Mid Michigan

The Fair Housing Center of Southeastern Michigan actively works to investigate complaints of illegal housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin,  sex, disability, familial status, marital status, age, (and potentially) condition of pregnancy, source of income, family responsibilities, educational association, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, HIV status, and political orientation.

The FHC provides services to a eight county area– Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Jackson, Lenawee, Monroe, Livingston and Washtenaw counties.  FHC provides investigative services, testing, advice, advocacy, conciliation, attorney referral and community education.
